Anya Litvinova grew up swimming and ballroom dancing at a national level. She is a certified as a 200 -Hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT®) , National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer and has a Spinning, TRX, and Tae Bo ® Fitness certification. Anya received a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of San Francisco. While in college Anya worked at Presidio Sports Medicine as a Physical Therapy aide which gave her the experience in working with rehabilitation clients.Throughout the busy life of teaching multiple classes and dabbling in administrative work, Yoga quickly became Anya’s stress relief. She received her 200 Hour Yoga certification in 2013 through Core Power Yoga. As Anya says, “Yoga is the Yin to my Yang.”Anya has created a signature class called “Barre Treat,” which includes elements of yoga in a barre workout. There is extra stretching between blocks of work, as well as a “happy hour” in the middle of the class, in which you roll out and massage your legs on the barre.  In addition to Barre Anya has developed a Yoga class on the TRX straps which is a one of a kind experience suitable for all levels and experience of yoga.

Alla Litvinova from a young age had a passion for sports and fitness. An elite level athlete in track and field, she went on to complete her studies in Kinesiology and Sports Psychology from the University of Moscow Russia. Alla brought her love for children and fitness to the United States and opened a Sports Camp and an after school program for kids. She is certified as a National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer and has a TRX, Aqua Aerobics and Tae Bo ® Fitness certification.

I have been practicing yoga on and off for about 15 years. I have an avid personal practice and I have enjoyed many different types of yoga. My certifications include the 200 hour certification through YogaWorks, mini yogis ® yoga for kids Foundation Training and Jane Austin’s Mama Tree Prenatal Yoga, Level 1& 2. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies.For me, teaching is about sharing your love of yoga with others. Meeting students where they are ad watching them progress is amazing! I love teaching yoga to kids as well. They are full of such pure energy and joy – watching them try out each pose with such enthusiasm and so little ego makes me smile. Yoga has taught me to slow down, take one day at a time and to make time for myself.

 Megan Kommer

kommer2015july0285From her first class on the shore of a Hawaiian resort while whales breached in the background, Megan knew yoga would come to the forefront of her life at some point. She certified with AFAA in 2000 and intermittently taught group exercise and spin since then.  For 10+ years she sporadically practiced yoga, mainly Iyengar, until she embraced Vinyasa Flow in March, 2013.  Her aging body failed to respond to the intense cardio workouts she had previously enjoyed so she switched gears and started practicing 5-6 times a week, mainly under Hazel Finch.Through recent travels she’s had the opportunity to practice in New York City (Manhattan and Brooklyn), Chicago, Alexandria, VA, Puerto Rico, Pittsburgh, PA, Los Angeles, Costa Rica, Hawaii and Portland, OR.  She loves the aerial and SUP classes she’s taken. In the winter of 2015, Megan completed the first 200-hour Power Vinyasa training at Just Be Yoga and is excited to share her passion!

 Tamalyn Matney

She fell in love with Yoga and became intrigued with the way Yoga improved her focus, concentration, and mentality as well as its heart healing powers. Her teacher helped change her perspective on what Yoga really was. Yoga went from being a fitness class that helped with her flexibility to being a place of peace & inward healing. Yoga created light within the darkness. On & off the mat, yoga was a life changing way of being. Tamalyn wanted to share her passion and love for Yoga so she made the decision to get her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yogaworks. She hoped to light the fire within student’s hearts just like the spark that was lit within hers through her own teacher. While completing her Yoga Teacher Training she became certified to teach Barre, Sculpt and Yoga for Twelve Step to Recovery. Having grown up playing many sports, being an avid gym goer and loving combining music with the movement of body; it felt natural to continuing expanding her knowledge of the Human Anatomy with mind and body fitness techniques. Tamalyn is now in the process of completing her 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification through Yogaworks and completing her Personal Training Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is teaching Yoga & Barre classes in Contra Costa County with the hopes of continuing her education of the mind & body for the rest of her lifetime.

Annetta McCarty

Annetta McCartyAnnetta, a former ballerina and modern dancer, began practicing yoga in 1999 and never stopped. She is a Yoga Alliance RYT 500,with over 1000 hours of training in: Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin yoga, Restorative yoga, Senior yoga, Y12SR, and Ayurvedic wellness counseling. She teaches private, corporate and public classes throughout the greater Bay Area. Her classes are fun, intuitive, thoughtfully sequenced and well balanced, with an emphasis on breath & alignment to encourage students to develop a safe, sustainable and transformative practice. She teaches challenging Vinyasa, healing Hatha, nourishing Restorative & Yin yoga classes to all levels and ages. Her teaching is inspired by her own therapeutic practice, which she uses to build energy, heal injuries, restore balance and find more bliss on and off the mat.

Gina Myer

Gina Myer grew up in majestic Utah enjoying the outdoors- skiing, rock climbing, golfing, hiking, ice skating and playing soccer.  Later on she enjoyed pushing the limits of her endurance competing in sprint, olympic and half ironman distance triathlons, as well as many road and trail running events. She turned to yoga as a means of injury prevention as her body was beginning to feel the wear and tear of age and intense physical activities. Through yoga she found a deeper connection to her mind and body and it became an integral part of her life, helping to calm her overactive “Type A” mindset and bring a sense of balance.  Gina loves the intensity of challenging poses and balances equally to the stillness in seated breathing and meditation.

Rachel Coyle

Rachel’s personal practice started thanks to an invitation from a friend to meet at a yoga class.  By the end of that class she knew that she had stumbled upon something that would change her life. What started as a purely physical practice has led her on a path of self-discovery, self-love and mind-body awareness. Rachel’s desire to learn more resulted in her getting a 200-hr yoga teaching certification in 2009 as well as her personal training certifications through National Academy of Sports Medicine and Aerobics & Fitness Association of America, Pilates certification through SCW Fitness, and TRX Suspension training certification. Through her classes, Rachel hopes to help others discover the many benefits of a yoga practice while focusing on the breath and body alignment.  

Sheena Robinson

img_20160929_142754Sheena Robinson is originally from Florida where she grew up dancing from the age of 7. Always having a passion for health and fitness she left her finance career behind and is now a fitness instructor. She enjoys many types of fitness workouts from weight training, endurance training, barre and yoga. Though they all offer something different, her passion is barre. It not only takes her back to the discipline of ballet that she grew up doing, but it gives her the elongated toned look that she strives for. It is a challenging, but low impact workout that is truly beneficial both physically and mentally. She received her first barre certification in 2013 and has been teaching ever since. She is in the process of completing her personal training certification through National Academy of Sports Medicine. Through her barre practice her focus is on achieving results while strengthening the body and mind.

Monique Wright

Over the past several years Monique has dedicated herself to the daily practice of yoga which has transformed her life both mentally and physically. Following the energy the asana brings her, she knew this passion needed to be shared. Through Just Breathe Yoga Rivermark, Monique completed her 200 hour Hatha-Vinyasa certification and is now an E RYT Yoga Alliance instructor. She is a Site Director and teacher with The Art of Yoga Project and also guides private and public classes across the Bay Area with a humble and soulful heart.  You cannot help but feel this through her movements and artistic playlists. Monique is excited to share her love of yoga with the community creating a mystical space for others to find their inner peace, strength and beauty.

Maria (Masha) Seredkina

Classes: Barre Express, Barre Treat™

Maria (Masha) Seredkina spent most of her childhood ballroom dancing and competing in International Standard European and Latin American dance challenges all over Russia. After 13 years of practice, she began giving private dance lessons in both dance programs as well as general physical fitness consulting. Her experience in a hardcore training system and her love for a graceful exercise routine brought her to teach Barre at Yoga Treat.
